Inclusion

At Holy Trinity Primary School, we are deeply committed to creating an inclusive educational environment where every member of our community, including pupils, parents, staff, and visitors, is valued and respected. Our ethos of inclusion is rooted in recognising and embracing individual differences to ensure equal access to educational opportunities. We strive to make everyone feel safe and included, expecting all parents and visitors to support this inclusive atmosphere.

Holy Trinity Primary School emphasises personalised education, aiming to bring out the best in every child by offering a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to meet diverse individual needs. This approach empowers all students to reach their full potential and develop into caring, confident, and committed individuals. Our commitment to inclusion is central to our philosophy, and we ensure the progress of all children, especially those with additional needs. Every teacher is dedicated to supporting every child, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Recognising that many children will encounter additional needs at some point during their school career, whether related to learning, communication, interaction, physical, sensory, or social and emotional needs, we adopt a proactive approach. Some children require continuous support, while others benefit from shorter-term interventions. We provide differentiated provision within the classroom and offer personalised support through various interventions, utilising proven resources and activities.

In line with the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice 2025, Holy Trinity Primary School employs a graduated response to help children with SEND access a balanced and broadly-based curriculum. This successful inclusion is achieved through close collaboration with parents and professionals to identify and meet individual needs.

We highly value the knowledge, views, and experiences of parents, involving them at every stage of the graduated response process. We encourage open communication with parents to collaboratively address the educational and emotional needs of every child, ensuring their growth and development in a safe and inclusive environment.
