With Smartphones, tablets and other forms of digital technology becoming widespread in our children's lives the issue of Internet safety is more significant than ever.  At Holy Trinity CofE Primary School, we take the issue of Internet Safety very seriously and on these pages you will find information that will support you as parents/guardians. Online safety is part of the school’s safeguarding responsibilities and our Online safety policy explains how the school helps to keep your child safe using the Internet.

Children in all year groups are taught an explicit online safety lesson at least every half term using the Project Evolve and common sense media planning tools. Online safety is also covered if and when children need support with this area.  The internet is a fantastic resource, but it can also bring risks. We work with our pupils in school to help them understand the dangers and learn how to keep themselves safe.  All pupils are asked to sign an agreement on how they will use the Internet in school. Annually, in February, the school takes part in the national campaign Safer Internet Day, which provides lots of useful resources to support teachers, parents and children.

Below are a list of websites that we hope you find useful if you wish to learn more about keeping your child safe online or if you are concerned about inappropriate use of technology, either by your child or another child.  We understand that if an incident occurs outside of school, such as cyberbullying, it can be difficult to know how to seek help.  Although our teachers or our Online Safety Lead can provide advice, these dedicated organisations have a wealth of knowledge that you may fine useful in these situations.
